Investment agents represent clients in both the disposition and acquisition of commercial investment properties. Agents are tasked with building a lucrative pipeline of clients, underwriting assets through NOI and IRR analysis, negotiating contracts and managing transactions through closing.

Qualifications

Investment Sales Agents with a successful track record at our firm poses the following skills

-Self motivated

-Develop strong client relationships

-Formulate and execute a professional business plan

-Strong deal making/negotiating skills

-Excellent financial analysis skills including, NOI, IRR, CAP rates, Argus modeling a plus

-2 + Years’ experience in commercial real estate investment sales

-An Active Florida Real Estate Sales or Brokers License

Responsibilities Include

Job Description

EIS is seeking a Senior Level Property Accountant to oversee the full cycle of accounting and reporting for a large number of complex shopping center investment properties. A successful candidate will be self- motivated, have a winning attitude, excel at organization, and communicate well both written and orally. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work in a demanding face paced environment with ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-level work. The Senior Accountant will act as a controller for the portfolio of properties, performing all accounting related functions. The accountant will also be responsible for performing some other accounting related duties that fall outside of the portfolio.

Responsibilities Include

Responsible for all aspects of Property Management Accounting including processing daily cash receipts, generating monthly tenant charges and statements, generating management fee billings, tenant set up in Yardi Voyagers, Budgeting and year end CAM reconciliations, regular collaboration and communication with Property Managers regarding tenant issues, and the following:

  • Responsible for preparing timely, compete, and accurate monthly and year end financials and supporting schedules
  • Responsible for assisting with budgeting process
  • Responsible for preparing and filing monthly sales tax returns
  • Reconcile reports, research, and correct discrepancies
  • Review general ledgers for accuracy. Prepare and post journal entries for adjustments as needed
  • Prepare monthly bank and cash reconciliations. Prepare any journal entries to post corrections. Communicate any discrepancies with property staff
  • Prepare daily bank deposits and perform security deposit funding and bank wires and transfers as necessary
  • Complete monthly Mortgage/Lender Escrow Account Reconciliations
  • Responsible for cash management and weekly check run
  • Mange Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Prepare tax information for submission to outside CPA

Skills

  • A minimum of 7 years of Commercial Property Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree are a must
  • Accounting major highly desirable
  • Expert in Yardi Voyagers property management software
    • In addition to standard accounting processes must be able to:
      • Add and administer users
      • Administer user permissions
      • Create properties from scratch
      • Enter leases
      • Enter GL budgets
      • Set up and run reconciliations
      • Set up and send out email blasts to contacts through Yardi
      • Troubleshoot and communicate errors and issues with Yardi
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Solid computer skills including Excel are required
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Intuitive analytical skills to proactively address and identify accounting and operational issues
  • Good financial reporting and technical skills
  • Strong work ethic. Ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
  • Respond to information requests quickly and professionally
  • Achieve a strong level of business partnership with property managers and peers
  • Must have extensive experience using a personal computer, printer, calculator, multi-user telephone system, copier, fax machine
  • Experience in overseeing/managing the work of others, assigning tasks and promoting a team environment
  • Excellent ability to anticipate and solve problems
