Volusia Hometown News– No one is really sure what’s happening at the corner of Howland and Courtland boulevards in Deltona, but there’s been some talk about a restaurant chain coming to town.
“We’d like to get a restaurant in,” said Ryan D’Agostino, an associate with Equity Investment Services in Orlando. “There’s a shortage of restaurants in the area,” and the noted, “We’re not able to disclose yet” of the chain possibly coming to town.
Mr. D’Agostino is a spokesman for MMM Investment Corp. of South Florida, the owner of the property. He said he and others recently attended the International Council of Shopping Centers to drum up business.
“There are those who are in the process of looking over that space,” he said. “We’ve talked to the city about the plans and building and all the approvals are done to take care of that site. We didn’t want to run around to national brands until we could say we’re 100 percent approved and ready to go.”
